It’s time to get registered for the 2024 New Mexico Regional Braille Challenge! What: This competition is for students who use braille from grades 1-12. Students may compete below grade level if needed, they just won’t qualify for the national competition. When: Saturday, February 24, 2024 Where: NMSBVI Residential Campus in Alamogordo How: Registration will begin at 8:30 and the awards ceremony will end around 5 PM. There will be a parent training and activities for siblings of contestants during the day on Saturday. Lunch on Saturday is provided to contestants, volunteers and families. Students from out of the area are welcome to stay in the dormitory Friday and/or Saturday night. Please notify Julie Johnson if you plan to do this. Attached are the registration forms in English and Spanish. The “special event” form is ONLY for non-NMSBVI students who will be staying in the dorm. Registration can be emailed, sent with text or mailed. Braille Challenge weekend is a lot of fun and a great opportunity to meet other students from around the state!
