Did you know that NMSBVI's Outreach Department provides free Low Vision Clinics around the state to identify infants, toddlers, and students who may be candidates for improved vision through low vision devices or assistive technology? These evaluations differ from a common medical eye exam due to coordination between the student's teachers (TVIs), family, and the doctor of optometry, who has specialized training for low vision students.
